Biography
Born and raised in State College, Pennsylvania. Dan began studying classical violin at the age of 4. Since then he has branched out into many genres of music including Irish, americana, jazz, folk, bluegrass, and classic rock. Dan has studied and played with some of the most respected fiddlers in the world including Martin Hayes, Liz Carroll, Eileen Ivers, James Kelly, Patrick Orceau, Tony DeMarco, and many others. He currently study at Penn State University pursuing duel degrees in Information Science and Russian. When he is not in the classroom, you can find him playing out around town most every night at various venues. Dan does both live performances and studio session work. He has recorded with numerous artists including the Rustlanders, Dennis Fallon, Jason Davoli, Pure Cane Sugar, Philip Masorti, and has had the honor of working with some of the best in the industry including producer Dave Goodermuth (They Must Be Giants), Marc Frigo (Jewel, Indigo Girls), Bret Alexander (The Badlees), and mastering expert Roger Lian (The Killers, The White Stripes).
